A month back, we reluctantly decided to take a break from cloth diapering. Washing a load of diapers (on hot) PLUS 2 showers a day (mind you 4 people live in the house...excluding Josie) completely wipes out the hot water for the day. There are shortcuts we could take in order to keep CDing but it's just easier for the time being to use disposables.
We plan on going back to cloth diapers once we get a place of our own. At the very least, we'll cloth diaper the next baby. I really enjoyed it. I thought it was going to be this HUGE hassle but it really wasn't. Luckily, since Josie is exclusively breastfed her poop is 100% water soluble so there was no need to clean the diapers before putting them in the washer.
I really miss the cute diaper covers.
