St. Patrick's Day 2012

Holy Cow! This weather has been gorgeous!! High 70's, sunny, breezy...and it's only mid-march?! I am in love!

We didn't do anything too wild and crazy this year for St. Patrick's Day (I think I'm still recovering from St. Patty's Day '07...my Roman Holiday). We  did a little yard work. Played fetch with Toby until he couldn't run anymore, then hit up the Henry Vilas Zoo and Vilas Park. We wandered around the park and admired the various play structures from afar. Josie isn't a huge fan of playgrounds at the moment (the weird terrain, the noisy kids, and what's the deal with those slides anyway?!). So we just walk around them all. She did enjoy running in the large open grassy area. That's her new thing: running. She's still very clumsy and falls a lot (which isn't a toddler thing per-se b/c I am very clumsy and constantly tripping and falling too).

We didn't do anything crazy when it came to food either. I'm weirded out by artificially dyed food (so no green milk or stuff like that) and since we're still plant-strong there was no corned beef either (which is A-Ok in my book). We did eat a baby spinach covered pizza, with green olives, that was to-die-for.

Here are a few pictures (or A LOT of pictures) from yesterday's festivities:

letting her hair blow in the breeze

over the bridge we go!

  2. How nice. WE love these pictures. How special that you get out and do all these things. She's a happy baby, and so it seems are her parents. You are so lucky and fortunate to have each other. She truly is a beauty. I love her outfit. Sat. Uncle Shane and Caleb came down and helped Poppy cut down the big maple by the back door. Tough old tree and we shall miss it. It's been a good friend. Can't wait to see you alland have a big hug. Miss you three. Granny and Poppy
