Blogger vs. Wordpress

I am currently debating whether to stick with Blogger for the Feel Good Foodie blog; or if I should switch to Wordpress.

I've set up the food blog with both sites; so when it launches there will be a Blogger AND Wordpress Feel Good Foodie blog. This is extremely complicated, but I'm hoping to get feedback from readers on which they prefer. (or maybe I'll disregard everyone's feedback and just do what I want to do...that sounds more like me).

I love the ease of Blogger; but I love the "professional" look of Wordpress.

I set up my Wordpress page last night, and was beyond confused and frustrated with it. Yet, this morning I found it to be much easier to navigate and figure out. It's pretty darn snazzy looking too.

I will be posting BOTH links on this site in a few days. I'll let you all be the judge of what stays (now, don't you just feel so special).

  1. I vote wordpress only because it's much more customizable. I use blogger for our family blog, but wordpress for my photog blog. And I have heard it's not good for SEO to keep up 2 exact same blogs or websites. The spiders that search see them as spam sites. Not sure how true it is, but does make sense. So I'd pick one and go with it!

  2. Thanks Kim! Yea, I was leaning towards Wordpress too. However, I have about 50 hours of time invested in the Blogger one...so it's hard to just delete it right away. I'm sure you now what I mean :)

  3. I just switched from iWeb to Blogger! A HUGE thing for a Mac freak! But I simply LOVE the ease of Blogger. And if you really search out all the configuration choices there is a lot to choose from. I like the look of Wordpress, but I still think Blogger handles REALLY well, and I like that! I also love the way it handles photos like cooking series type of things (check out my Potato Salad post)
    Just my thoughts...

  4. I agree Susie, Blogger is really easy to use (that's why I use it now); but I've spent the hast 5 hours using Wordpress and I love it! You can do so much more with photos in it too. I'll be keeping Blogger for this blog, but I'm going to use Wordpress for the food blog. You'll notice how nice it looks once I send you the link. BIG difference!
